Music: Red Roots

Inspiring their fans with a “sweet, pop-country” sound, three red-headed triplet sisters make up the group Red Roots.

They sing about life, love and finding your direction, all while incorporating their “roots” of family, faith and music.  The lead singer, Nika, plays guitar while her counterparts Natalie and Nicole sing harmonies.  Natalie and Nicole also play an assortment of instruments including the keyboard, violin, mandolin, bass, and banjo.

Getting their start after winning a talent contest, the girls released their first single entitled “Red Roots”.  These three young sisters from Mississippi, USA then released their debut album, aptly titled “Red Roots” in 2011.  Met with success on the music charts and a slew of music award nominations, the band released their sophomore effort earlier this year.  Co-written by the sisters themselves, “The Middle of Nowhere” was released March 20, 2012.  Their latest album demonstrates the growth the band has made as musicians as well as their own personal growths.  With a passion for inspiring, these three musically talented sisters are making their mark on country music.

They can currently be seen on various tour dates around the surrounding Mississippi area and their music is available now on their website.
